Hi Trailblazers! I'm Lacy Hinson and I am looking forward to another wonderful year at Deerfield! I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina and a Masters degree in Counselor Education from Winthrop University. This is my 9th year as a School Counselor and I’ve served in both the High School and Elementary School settings. Being a school counselor and working with all of the amazing students is truly a blessing! My husband and I have an amazing daughter, Autumn, and two fur babies, Iggy and Zoey. In my free time, I love doing DIY projects, traveling to new places, cheering on the Gamecocks, and spending quality time with my family. I am so excited to be here and can’t wait to work with your students.
Shenika Waring, M.Ed

Greetings! My name is Shenika T. Waring and I am one of the School Counselors here at Deerfield Elementary. This is my 15th year in education and my 5th year as a School Counselor. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina, a Master's of Arts in Professional Counseling from Webster University and a Master's of Education from South Carolina State University. My husband and I reside in Lexington County with our two beautiful daughters ages 5 and 7. They are both Trailblazers and excited about this school year. In my free time, I enjoy reading, designing/creating items, laughing and creating memories with family and friends. I am so excited to be here at Deerfield Elementary this year.
